What is a 1-fixture bearing?

A 1-fixture bearing is a bearing support designed to hold a rotating shaft in a precise position while allowing it to rotate. This type of bearing is designed with a single mounting point, often a hole or base designed to accommodate a single clamping screw. This configuration offers quick and easy assembly, particularly useful in applications where space is limited and a light fastening is all that's required. The snap ring ensures stable mounting of the bearing, particularly important in constant-rotation applications.

Single-retainer bearings are often used in moderate to high-speed systems , depending on the materials and type of bearing they contain. By design, they can absorb both radial loads (perpendicular to the axis of rotation) and axial loads (parallel to the axis). They are frequently found in industrial applications such as conveyors, machine tools and handling systems. Each model shown specifies the inside diameter in millimeters, enabling a rapid comparison of dimensions, with contents presenting all technical specifications.
